Clergy
We are
excited to introduce the Reverend Reid T. McCormick as our Rector. He
began serving with us on February 27, 2011. Reid and his wife Jackie
moved from their home in Maitland, Florida where he served as Associate
Rector of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church located in Orlando. Prior to
that time, Reid has served as Rector of Emmanuel Church in Orlando,
Associate Rector of All saints Winter Park and Assistant Rector at the
Church of the Ascension in Hickory, North Carolina.
Reid is a lifelong Episcopalian. His family roots trace back nine generations in the St. Augustine Florida area where he grew up in Ponte Vedra Beach. Reid was the third generation of a construction family, earning his undergraduate degree in Building Science from Auburn University. He worked in his family business as well as serving four years as Mayor of the City of Jacksonville Beach; Reid also held leadership positions in various civic and charitable groups including the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, The Players Championship, Rotary International and the Quarterback Club. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing and hiking.
Reid enjoys the privilege of serving the Church as an ordained Episcopal priest and believes that the Episcopal Church offers a unique opportunity to explore our relationship with our Lord. He welcomes anyone to join us in prayer, worship and service in our community!
